DNS Name Servers

To use your domain name with your adeyhost account you need to have the DNS information set to those specified in your account activation email.

This change must be carried out by the company you registered the name with. Without saying if we registered the domain name for you we will make the appropriate changes

Control Panel

Your adeyhost account can be managed from your Personal Control Panel. To use your Personal Control Panel go to www.yourdomain.co.uk/cpanel and enter the username and password sent to you in your account setup e-mail.

Your Personal Control Panel is the main location for managing and getting information about managing your account and getting help.

Publishing your web site files.

You can publish your files using FTP (File Transfer Protocol) or by using Microsoft Frontpage. To use Microsoft FrontPage you need to install FrontPage Extensions on your web site (this can be carried out from your Personal Control Panel)

File naming - my web site does not work!

Your web site is being hosted using a UNIX operating system which is case sensitive so the way you name files is important. If an image file is called asample.GIF and you try to link it on a web page with asample.gif then the link will fail.
Your home page should be called index.htm or index.html (case sensitive), unless you are using Microsoft Frontpage which will set the home page name for you (normally called defatult.htm).

Sending E-mail

To send email you either need to set your e-mail client's Outgoing Mail (SMTP) server to that specified by your Internet Service Providor or to ours which will be mail.yourdomain.com.
